1.0 INTRODUCTION 

SAZARICE SDN BHD respects and is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) of Malaysia. This policy is issued to all our valued clients, and business partners, and serves as our Personal Data Protection Notice in accordance with the Act. This policy outlines and will inform you the rights  with regards to your personal data from the point we collect, use, share, dispose of and the security measures that we established to ensure your personal data is well protected.

2.0 COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

In order for us to provide you with our services and to operate in an efficient and efficient manner, we may need to collect your relevant personal data. Your personal data enables us to achieve the “Purpose” herein that is in connection with our business. The personal data collected by us may be in the form of, but not limited to:

  1. Name, identification number (IC), nationality, contact details (e.g., phone number, email, address);
  2. Company details (for suppliers, distributors, or business clients) (e.g., license, company’s registration number, nature of business, company structure);
  3. Financial information (e.g., bank account details, CTOS, CCRIS, bank statement invoice/payment info);
  4. and any other information about you which you have provided to Sazarice Sdn Bhd.

3.0 PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Sazarice Sdn Bhd will collect, process, and use your personal data for the following purposes including but not limited to:

  1. to communicate with you;
  2. to provide services to you;
  3. respond to your inquiries;
  4. to meet compliance and making disclosure in accordance to the requirements of any applicable law, regulation, direction, court order, guideline, circular or code applicable to us;
  5. as required by the order or request of any governmental authorities and/or public agencies, statutory bodies, company’s parent/holding company, subsidiaries, or other relevant agencies and associated companies;
  6. for internal record-keeping and administrative purposes;
  7. administer your participation in contests;
  8. conduct internal activities, market surveys, and trend analysis;
  9. to provide you with information on products and services of company and our related corporations;
  10. to provide you with information on products and services of our business partners; other legitimate business activities of company;
  11. such other purposes as set out in the Website, Terms and Use; and/or
  12. such other purposes as set out in our additional terms and conditions (collectively “Purposes”).

4.0 SOURCES OF PERSONAL DATA

Sazarice may obtain your personal data from the following sources including but not limited to:

  1. agreements and contracts for sale and purchase of our products and our services;
  2. official registration forms (either electronic or printed) for new launches or roadshows, showcases, exhibitions or any other promotional events;
  3. any emails or any correspondences that we have received from you requesting for information or making any inquiries; any forms that you have submitted, either manually or through any of our websites contracted by Company;
  4. any referrals from a person which have included their verifiable personal contact details;
  5. business cards that were dropped or given to Company;
  6. any document including but not limited to statutory forms and returns that were submitted to Company for processing.

5.0 DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

Sazarice Sdn Bhd will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent. However, we may disclose your personal data to affiliates or third parties that perform services on Sazarice’s behalf. These affiliates and third parties will treat your personal data as confidential, in accordance with this Privacy Policy and with all applicable Data Protection legislation and will process your personal data only for the purposes and within the terms set out herein. We are responsible for the personal data under our control, including personal data disclosed by us to a Vendor (often referred to as the “data processor”). We take every measure to provide a comparable level of protection for personal data should the information be processed by a Vendor.

6.0 SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). To prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your personal data, we have implemented appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards.

These measures include, but are not limited to:

  1. by ensuring that your personnel data is kept as required by PDPA;
  2. by ensuring our staff do not misuse your personal data;
  3. contractually obligating our vendors or third-party service providers to implement appropriate data security measures and comply with the PDPA to protect your personal data;
  4. by ensuring the servers are secure and are protected by firewalls;
  5. encrypting sensitive information;

7.0 RIGHTS OF ACCESS AND CORRECTION

You have the right to:
  1. request access to personal data processed by us with reasonable notice;
  2. request for correction and/or update your personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated;
  3. withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by providing a written notice to us.

You may, at any time, make inquiries, submit complaints, request access to or correction of your personal data, or limit the processing of your personal data by contacting the Company through the following means:

Please allow twenty-one (21) days from the date of receipt of a complete request for your request to be processed. If we require additional time to process the request for reasonable grounds, this period may be extended for an additional fourteen (14) days.

8.0 POLICY REVIEW

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy from time to time without prior notice. We advise that you check our website at https://www.sazarice.com.my regularly for the most current version, indicated by the update date at the top of this policy.

By publishing this policy in this website, we shall deem our customers and/or business partners have already been notified.
